YTT In Studio 2020

Yoga Teacher Training January 2020

Our Yoga Teacher Training will take place in the studio over 8 in studio weekends and 1 amazing retreat weekend in beautiful rural Alberta!

This 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training program is certified by Yoga Alliance as an RYS and will be focusing on the traditional Hatha Yoga methods and applying them to Vinyasa, Yin, and Flow style classes. As a trainee, you will learn everything you need to know to take your own practice deeper and to teach a safe and intelligent yoga class. The course covers yoga asanas, anatomy, sequencing, adjusting, pranayama, philosophy, mantra and ceremony applications. This will help shape your life and teaching style!

Mandy, your Lead Teacher, takes students through the tools of teaching, filtered with humor and deep knowledge. Elements of sacred ceremony, ancient traditions, and new research will all be applied throughout your education.

Taking your yoga teacher training over an extended schedule helps you to live your life while learning and growing. We will meet each training weekend and immerse in all things yoga. There will be physical practice, teaching methodology, philosophy, Ayurveda & anatomy sprinkled throughout the weekends.

Your Accommodations

This part of Mexico is known for being very safe & open-minded while maintaining a traditional feel. The villa that has been chosen is, GORGEOUS. It is a large private villa with an assortment of bedrooms and staffed with a cook & housekeeper. This villa features a gorgeous pool deck & terrace for your asana practices and open space indoors with cooling fans for your theory portions of the training, so that everyone is comfortable.

Sean B., a popular American chef living in Puerto Vallarta, will prepare and serve family style meals for breakfast & dinner each day. He can accommodate vegan, vegetarian & gluten free. There are many restaurants and shops in the area if you choose to find a meal in your downtime. The beach is just a 5-minute walk down to the sunny, walkable and swimmable playa. The municipal bus system is easy, safe and runs every 10 minutes so you can easily make your way to explore surrounding communities.
This is a very safe and tourist friendly part of Mexico and my second home, so feel free to ask Mandy for advice on anything! The home is yours and includes use of the heated dipping pool, air-conditioning in bedrooms, TV’s, WIFI and cleaning service. A reminder that it is co-ed communal living, so sharing is caring……but it is huge and there is plenty of room to have alone time.
