I began my yoga practice on a summer day in 2013 when a friend simply asked if I wanted to come and from that moment I was hooked.  I loved the feeling like I was getting stronger and more flexible and that I could find a time in the day for 60 minutes where all I was focused on was the mat. Although it began as just a physical practice after a while I noticed that going to yoga would always put me in a better head space through the rest of the day. Yoga to me is such a mental help, it makes me feel empowered and relaxed. I was so inspired by those who were teaching me yoga and helping me to get deeper in my practice. As I continued to practice a teacher asked if I ever thought of teacher training and so from there I decided this is the way to deepen my practice. I wanted to inspire people with yoga like I was inspired, and provide people with 60 minutes where they can just focus on themselves. I love to teach a flow class with a focus on breath and makes students feel invigorated and listen to their body. I took Empowered Yoga 200 HR teacher training in 2014 under the guidance of Michele Theoret, Bonnie Parkes, and Danielle Murray in Edmonton. I hope to make people who come to my class feel that no matter who they are they have the ability to do yoga. I am still discovering my own practice and still have a long way to go. I am hoping to share as much as I can with you and continue learning. I am grateful for the here and now as I continue to try and stay present in my life. I hope to see you on the mat! Namaste.
