Your yoga teacher training will take place in Quimixto, Mexico (near Puerto Vallarta) over a 3-week immersion at the world-famous El Grullo Wellness Resort. Staying true to a Travelling Yogi Retreats experience, you will take this training as your own yoga practice enhancement or to become a yoga teacher AND get all the perks of a yoga vacation! Meals are included in your tuition and provided by our Chef-in-residence, Sean Beaulieu. He is adept and understands catering to different nutritional needs and will provide menus for vegan, keto, & gluten-free diets. There is plenty of locally sourced, organic and nutritious food to ensure you are well fed. Throughout the 3 week training, we will also be experiencing some local flavor and cultural experiences including hikes, waterfalls, karmic community efforts, a tour of Puerto Vallarta’s iconic Malecón & Zona Romantica and more! This location in Quimixto is accessible only by boat as it is nestled against the Sierra Madre Mountains in the amazing Bahia de Banderas. It is located a 45-minute drive from the Puerto Vallarta Airport and then a 15-minute boat ride to our beachfront piece of paradise. It’s a quaint fishing village complete with teeny stores run out of the front of homes and 3 tiki-style beach bars where you can relax in your downtime with a fresh fruit margarita and fish tacos! This 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training program is certified by Yoga Alliance with Travelling Yogi Retreats. This YTT will be focusing on the traditional Hatha Yoga methods and applying them to Vinyasa, Yin, and Meditation classes. As a trainee, you will learn everything you need to know to inform your own practice and to teach a safe and intelligent yoga class. The course covers yoga asanas, anatomy, sequencing, adjusting, pranayama, philosophy, mantra, and meditation as part of Patanjali’s “Eight Limbs of Yoga”.
